SHOPPLAYBLE Privacy Policy

SHOPPLAYBLE (“we”, “the app”) is a Shopify app that lets merchants add shoppable videos to their online store. This policy explains what data the app accesses, how it is used, and the choices merchants have.

Information we access

When a merchant installs SHOPPLAYBLE, the app accesses:

• Store details — the store domain and settings needed to run the app.
• Products (read) — titles, handles, images and prices, so shoppers can buy from a video.
• Files (read and write) — to upload and reference the merchant’s videos, which are hosted on Shopify’s content delivery network.
• Orders (read) — order identifiers and totals, used to attribute sales to videos and to calculate the app’s order-volume pricing. We do not use order data for any other purpose.

Information we store

We store video metadata and URLs, widget configuration, targeting rules, anonymous performance events (such as views and clicks), and references to attributed orders (order identifier and amount). We do not store buyers’ names, addresses, payment details, or other personal contact information.

How we use information

Data is used only to operate the app for the merchant: to render widgets on the storefront, measure widget performance, and bill the merchant according to their plan. We do not sell data or use it for advertising.

Service providers

We use the following providers to run the app: Shopify (platform and content delivery), Supabase (database hosting, United States), and Render (application hosting, United States). Each processes data only to provide their service to us.

Data subject requests and deletion

We honor Shopify’s mandatory data-privacy requests. When a store or its customers request access to or deletion of data, we respond through Shopify’s compliance process. When a merchant uninstalls the app, all of that store’s data is deleted from our systems.

Retention

We retain a store’s data for as long as the app is installed. After uninstall, the store’s data is removed.
